Editorial Overview

What this hub covers.

Rupee11 Fantasy maintains this hub on a weekly cadence. Last refresh: today.

Why this hub exists

Most fantasy cricket content is recycled press releases. Rupee11 Fantasy publishes primary research — squad audits, captain matrices, venue splits — and we link every claim back to a source.

How we keep it accurate

Every figure on this page is internally audited each week. Errors are corrected inline with a dated change-log so you can see exactly when a number moved and why.

How to use it

Read top-to-bottom for a primer, or jump straight to the captain matrix if you're drafting a team today. The methodology page documents every editorial standard we apply.

Workflow

Six steps from zero to winning team.

These six steps apply to every match on the IPL calendar. Bookmark this page — you'll come back to it 74 times this season.

Step 1: Read pitch report for Fantasy Tips

1. Read pitch report

The pitch report is the single most predictive input. A dry pitch rewards spinners; a green track rewards seamers.

Step 2: Check weather for Fantasy Tips

2. Check weather

Dew in the second innings changes the chase equation dramatically. Read the dew forecast before locking your team.

Step 3: Compare form for Fantasy Tips

3. Compare form

Form over the last 5 matches beats career averages. Always.

Step 4: Read head-to-head for Fantasy Tips

4. Read head-to-head

Some bowlers bowl well against specific batters (and vice versa). The head-to-head splits are on the match prediction page.

Step 5: Pick differential for Fantasy Tips

5. Pick differential

Differential picks (low ownership) win mega contests. They also lose more often. Don't over-index.

Step 6: Lock team early for Fantasy Tips

6. Lock team early

Locking your team 5 minutes before toss gives you the latest XI confirmation. Earlier locks lose that edge.

Deep Dive

The full picture on fantasy tips.

Below is the long-form editorial. We refresh this section weekly; the change-log at the bottom lists what moved and when.

Fantasy tips is the most-searched term in Indian fantasy cricket — and also the most-misused. Half the tips published online are recycled from last season; the other half are written by people who don't actually play. Rupee11 Fantasy's tips are written by an editorial desk that drafts teams every week and tracks the result.

The tips on this page are organised by decision type: captain picks, hedge plays, contest selection, differential picks, contest timing, bankroll management. Each tip links to the underlying analysis — never a vibes-based claim.

We track every tip we publish. If a tip underperforms over a 4-week window, we revise it and flag the change in the change-log. This is unusual in the fantasy cricket media space; most outlets don't audit their own work.

What we're watching this week

Our biggest tip: pick your captain based on role fit + venue + form, not reputation. Reputation lags form by 3-4 matches. Read the captain guide for the full framework.

FAQ

Questions on fantasy tips.

What's the most common rookie mistake?

Picking the captain too early, before the playing XI is confirmed. Lock your team 5 minutes before toss, not 30 minutes before.

Are differential picks worth the risk?

Yes, in mega contests. No, in small contests. Differential = low-ownership player = high variance. Use them where the payout justifies the risk.

How often should I revise my fantasy strategy?

Every 4 weeks. Form windows in T20 are short — what worked in week 1 doesn't necessarily work in week 5. Read the change-log on this page for what we've revised.

Data sources

Where Rupee11 Fantasy gets its numbers.

The Rupee11 Fantasy editorial desk uses a layered data pipeline. Primary sources feed the live scoreboard; secondary sources feed the prediction models; manual audit feeds the published guides. Below is the full list of sources we cite, with the freshness window for each.

When sources conflict — for example when a franchise posts a different playing XI than the broadcaster shows — the Rupee11 Fantasy editorial desk defers to the franchise's verified social handle and posts a correction notice in the changelog at the bottom of the affected page. We do not silently overwrite mistakes.

State-wise eligibility

Where Rupee11 Fantasy is legal — and where it is not.

Fantasy cricket is a game of skill and is legal across most of India. However, six states currently restrict paid fantasy contests for residents. Below is the current map, verified weekly against state gazette notifications and published regulatory advisories.

If you are a resident of an ineligible state but downloaded the app while physically located in an eligible state, the Rupee11 Fantasy app uses your KYC documents (Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID) to determine eligibility — not your current GPS location. This is the most conservative interpretation of state law and matches the approach taken by every major Indian fantasy platform.

FAQ

Rupee11 Fantasy reader questions.

Common questions received by the editorial desk via the contact page, grouped and answered.

How does Rupee11 Fantasy make money?

Rupee11 Fantasy operates on a commission model — typically 8-15% of the total entry pool of a contest, which is the industry norm. We also earn revenue via the content partnership with 10bet (see disclosure) and via affiliate links to payment partners. Editorial independence is governed by our methodology page.

Is my data safe on the Rupee11 Fantasy app?

Yes. We store KYC documents in encrypted form, never share them with third parties except as required by law, and we delete your account data within 30 days of account closure. Our full data-handling policy is on the privacy page.

Can I set a monthly deposit cap?

Yes. The Rupee11 Fantasy app has a deposit-limit feature in the responsible-play section of your account settings. You can set a daily, weekly or monthly cap, and the app will block deposits that exceed it. Limits can be tightened immediately but can only be loosened after a 24-hour cooling-off period.

What is the 10bet exclusive offer for Rupee11 users?

New Rupee11 Fantasy users who register on 10bet via our referral link receive a ₹500 free bet in their 10bet account, in addition to the standard ₹5,000 welcome bonus on Rupee11 Fantasy. The two offers are independent — you can claim one without the other.

FAQ · Deep

Six more questions readers ask.

Beyond the basic questions, the Rupee11 Fantasy editorial desk receives dozens of deeper technical questions about fantasy cricket strategy, app mechanics and the editorial process. Below are the six most common.

What is the Rupee11 Fantasy app's minimum app version?

The Rupee11 Fantasy companion app requires iOS 13.0 or later (iPhone 6s and newer), and Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later. The app is roughly 28 MB on Android and 32 MB on iOS. Older versions of the app receive security updates for 24 months after release.

Can I edit my fantasy team after the toss?

No. Your team is locked at toss. The only exception is the "impact player" bench slot — you can substitute the 11th player for any of the starting XI up to 6 overs into the match, provided the substituted player is from the same franchise.

How are ties handled in fantasy contests?

In head-to-head contests, ties are broken by the player who locked their team earlier. In larger contests, ties are broken by the player's total captain points (then vice-captain points). Full tie-break rules are published in the contest rules section of the Rupee11 Fantasy app.

Are there contests specifically for new users?

Yes. The Rupee11 Fantasy app runs "new user" contests that only accept accounts less than 30 days old. These contests have softer competition and lower entry fees (₹3–₹100). 50 free contest entries are also provided to new users at signup.

What is the maximum number of teams I can enter in one contest?

Up to 11 teams per contest. The Rupee11 Fantasy app allows multiple team entries on most contests (head-to-head is single-entry only). Multiple-team entry is most useful in mega contests where you can deploy different strategies.

How does the Rupee11 Fantasy app calculate live fantasy points?

Live points are calculated using the official IPL ball-by-ball feed. Every ball's outcome (run, wicket, extras) is converted to fantasy points using the audited matrix on our points system page. Updates typically appear within 5-10 seconds of the on-field event.

FAQ · Extra

Five more questions.

Beyond the basic and extended FAQs, here are five more questions the Rupee11 Fantasy editorial desk receives regularly, with full answers.

How often is Rupee11 Fantasy content updated?

Hub pages are updated weekly during the IPL season and monthly in the off-season. Blog posts are updated when material changes occur — a new injury, a venue switch, a rule change. The "Last updated" timestamp on every page shows the most recent refresh. The live scoreboard is updated ball-by-ball during matches.

Does Rupee11 Fantasy work on a tablet?

Yes. The companion app supports both phones and tablets on iOS and Android. On iPad, the app uses a split-view layout that shows your fantasy team on the left and the live scoreboard on the right. On Android tablets, a similar split-view layout is available in landscape orientation.

Can I use the Rupee11 Fantasy app on multiple devices?

Yes. Your Rupee11 Fantasy account syncs across all your devices via your mobile number. You can log in on multiple devices, but only one device can be active in a paid contest at a time. The app supports up to 5 simultaneous device logins.

What languages does the Rupee11 Fantasy app support?

The app currently supports English and Hindi, with Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi in beta. The website (rupee1fantasy.com) is in English only at present. The app's language setting is independent of the phone's system language.

Is Rupee11 Fantasy safe for my data?

Yes. The Rupee11 Fantasy app uses 256-bit encryption for all data in transit and at rest. KYC documents are stored on Indian servers operated by our payment partner (Razorpay / Cashfree). We are PCI-DSS compliant and SOC 2 Type II audited. Full data-handling policy on the privacy page.

Edge cases

Edge cases and how Rupee11 Fantasy handles them.

Fantasy cricket has many edge cases — situations that aren't quite covered by the standard rules. Below are the most common edge cases and how the Rupee11 Fantasy app handles them.

  • Super Over — if a match goes to a Super Over, fantasy points from the Super Over count toward the final score. The captain and vice-captain multipliers apply to the Super Over points as well.
  • Rain-shortened match (5+ overs each side) — contest results are calculated based on the DLS par score at the point of abandonment. If the DLS par score cannot be calculated, the contest is voided and entries are fully refunded.
  • Player ruled out before toss — if a player in your fantasy XI is ruled out before toss and the impact-player rule doesn't apply, your team is auto-adjusted: the highest-credit unused player in your team substitutes in. If no unused player exists, the team is auto-completed using the lowest credit available player.
  • Match forfeited — if a match is forfeited before the toss (e.g. a franchise fails to field a team), contest entries are fully refunded. If forfeited after the toss but before play begins, entries are fully refunded.
  • Tie on points in a contest — ties are broken by (1) total captain points, then (2) total vice-captain points, then (3) team lock time (earlier wins).
  • Substitute fielder (concussion / injury mid-match) — like-for-like substitutes do not earn fantasy points. The original player's points are what count. Concussion substitutes in international cricket are a separate rule and are handled per the ICC playing conditions.
